About the Job
This is a full-time role for a Senior Backend Developer at Spark Eighteen. We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary backend engineer to lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, secure, and performant distributed systems. In this senior role, you will be instrumental in shaping our backend architecture, driving technical excellence, and mentoring other engineers. You will focus on building robust, multi-region solutions, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the highest standards of reliability and security. The job location is for the Saket office in Delhi NCR region.
Responsibilities
- Strategize, design, and oversee the implementation of highly scalable and resilient backend solutions across multiple geographical regions.
- Ensure the overall reliability, security, and performance of backend systems across all development teams.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and drive technical alignment on critical backend initiatives and architectural decisions.
- Identify and implement significant efficiency improvements to optimize system response times and resource utilization.
- Establish clear processes for quality assurance, testing, and deployment consistency across backend services.
- Lead incident analysis and drive continuous improvements in system resilience and fault tolerance.
- Translate complex technical objectives into clear business outcomes, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals.
- Implement complex architectural patterns and provide technology stack recommendations.
- Develop organizational technical strategies and contribute to building thought leadership.
- Drive advanced performance and scalability solutions for backend systems.
- Directly impact project economic outcomes through cost-efficiency considerations in design and implementation.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience with building backend systems
- Expertise in designing and implementing attribute-based access control (ABAC) and integrating with OpenID Connect.
